In the front page tabloid story Feds make racket over Gotti real estate sale [NYDN], John A. (Junior) Gotti may claim he left “this life,” but his property is still mortgaged to the mob, the feds say – and they won’t let him sell any to pay his mounting legal bills.

“Certainly counsel deserves to be paid,” prosecutor Victor Hou said. “But I don’t think they deserve to be paid with the proceeds of racketeering.”

I am not sure I would want to be the buyer of this particular property. And it would seem that any attempt by Gotti to sell other properties could get the same argument by the prosecution.
